Richard King

Richard left DAPA with a £30,000 scholarship to train at Tring Park, on the musical theatre course. Whilst at Tring he has played Bela Zangler in Crazy For You, and Lord Brockhurst in The Boyfriend. Both of these shows were taken to London's Shaw Theatre, for both public and VIP performances, with guests including Kerry Ellis. He has also performed at the Milton Keynes Theatre in a gala where he was a backing singer for Johnny Wilkes, Daniel Boys and Louise Dearman.
He is currently one of the youngest people in the country to be studying towards the LCM Musical Theatre Teaching Diploma, and because of this was featured in an interview with Music Teacher Magazine. In his final year he was made Head Boy of the school. He has recently been accepted at the London School of Musical Theatre, where he intends to finish his musical theatre training. In the future he hopes to work in musicals, alongside a teaching career.
