Sarah Dean - Principal
Sarah Dean trained at The Arts Educational School in Chiswick and
then went on to become a professional dancer performing in the UK,
Europe, Japan & America. Sarah founded DAPA in 1998. In addition
to overseeing the running of three performing arts academies she is
one of Britain's busiest professional choreographers. Her close
connections with the professional theatre gives DAPA a unique
opportunity to prepare ambitious students for careers in the theatre,
and gives all pupils the chance to appear on big stages in real
theatres.
During the last twelve months Sarah has been responsible for several
professional productions that have seen her working with Brian Blessed,
David Hasselhoff, Louie Spence, Anita Dobson, Pamela Anderson, Les Dennis,
Cilla Black and Melinda Messenger.
Sarah also has her own production - Celtic Journey - which has been a huge
success at The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury; The Gorden Craig Theatre, Stevenage
and The Churchill Theatre, Bromley.
Dave Lee MBE - Patron
I am proud to be the Patron of this highly successful Performing
Arts School.
I have known and worked with Sarah (Principal) for more happy
years than we care to mention, both on pantomimes and
musicals. During this time I have seen her career blossom to
the present point where she is one of the highest regarded and
certainly the hardest working choreographer in Britain. How she
has managed to combine her professional career with building
and running this truly remarkable school is beyond me!
I would like to thank all the DAPA students who have appeared
in my charity Dave Lee's Happy Holiday fund raising events and
the famous charity nights at The Marlowe Theatre Canterbury.
